BENTONVILLE, Ark. (July 26, 2023) — MHP/Team SI, a full-service, data-driven performance marketing firm, announces the launch of Square Meals, a two-day fundraising event in partnership with downtown businesses to benefit Northwest Arkansas Food Bank-affiliated food pantries in Bentonville. From Wednesday, Aug. 9, to Thursday, Aug. 10, patrons can dine at partnered restaurants or directly donate to nine local food pantries through Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
“Last month, we celebrated our Bentonville office grand opening right on the square,” said Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl, president and CEO of MHP/Team SI and president of the MHP/Team SI Family of Companies. “As we continue to celebrate our newly-established presence in the city, we proudly announce our Square Meals initiative to support community members struggling with food insecurity.”
Data from the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank show 70,000 people in northwest Arkansas are food insecure, meaning they don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
“Most people are not aware how many people are facing hunger here in our community, and we’re seeing increased need as food costs continue to rise,” said Lisa Martens, executive director of Second Street Pantry Missions in downtown Bentonville. “We are excited to partner with MHP/Team SI on a program where individuals can make a difference, just by dining out at one of downtown Bentonville’s amazing restaurants.”
During the Square Meals event, participating restaurants will donate a portion of proceeds to Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, which will distribute these funds to the Bentonville food pantries. Restaurant patrons can also make direct donations to Square Meals by scanning QR codes that will be displayed at partnered restaurants.
