Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl Recognized on PRNEWS’ 2020 “PR People of the Year” List

Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl, president and CEO of Arkansas-based MHP/Team SI, has earned recognition on PRNEWS’ 2020 “People of the Year” list. This international recognition identifies the top talent whose work is making an impact in the communications field.

“I am honored to be recognized among top leaders in the global communications field,” said Vogelpohl, president and CEO of MHP/Team SI. “I call the agency business the ultimate team sport. The past year has held many curve balls for our industry and my partners and I are proud to lead an incredible team that has excelled in the face of these challenges. Innovation truly DOES live here.”

The recipients of this award represent the professionals who are responsible for outstanding PR achievements made in the past year.

Vogelpohl’s leadership and collaborative spirit in navigating crisis and change in an already tumultuous industry has made her a stand-out for this honor. In the last 12 months, she and the executive team led the agency to be among the first to go fully remote within days of the pandemic shutdown. This, and the organization’s commitment to investing in cutting-edge technology, like the launch of a new intranet system, led to a successful transition to a remote workplace and enabled the agency to see significant growth despite the challenges that the industry faces due to the pandemic.

“I, for one, am not surprised to see Sharon on this list but am truly grateful she is being recognized as she should,” said Tim Whitley, CEO and CIO of the MHP/Team SI Family of Companies. “She is a visionary, a mobilizer, a strategist and our very own ‘Queen of PR.’ Her leadership continues to develop the agency into a national leader in data-driven marketing.”

In early 2020, the firm invested in the pro bono development of UpLiftArkansas.com to help small businesses in Arkansas amidst the pandemic. Vogelpohl has also pioneered mentorship and gender equity efforts throughout her career and most recently supported the creation of the agency’s first Diversity & Inclusion committee in 2020.

Additionally, her commitment to empowering women has led to a longtime partnership with the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas (WFA). In September 2020, Vogelpohl – the 2017 WFA Woman of the Year in Business – announced that the agency will be offering pro bono marketing and mentorship services to WFA’s women-owned business grant recipients.

From internal communications and community relations to crisis management, media relations and beyond, the individuals recognized cover the wide breadth and depth of the industry. Learn more about these honorees at https://www.prnewsonline.com/go/pr-people-awards-2020/.
