The Origin Story of Your Host
C.C. “Chip” Culpepper is a principal owner and Chief Creative Officer of mhp.si. He is a respected communications strategist and decorated creative professional, garnering top recognitions on local, regional, and national stages.
The youngest of seven sons, all raised in a forestry family in rural Garland County, Ark., this “chip off the old block” is a home-grown professional. He is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas where he studied marketing, tutored English, and earned his degree in business administration.
Throughout his 40-year career, his work has been recognized for its insightfulness, creativity, and strategic excellence for clients ranging from nonprofit organizations to the Fortune 500. Among his career highlights, Chip has created animated campaigns alongside world-renowed artist/illustrator R.O. Blechman, collaborated with Oscar-nominated composer Steve Horner, and has written for and directed Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman multiple times.
Chip is an active community volunteer and engaged leader. He is an original member of the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame committee; a founding board member of the Miracle League of Arkansas; and is a graduate of both Leadership Arkansas and Leadership Greater Little Rock (and a recipient of LGLR’s Distinguished Service Award). He is past-Chairman and remains active as a Commissioner for the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, and currently serves as President of the 100th Bomb Group Foundation, the international charitable arm of the legendary World War II United States Army Air Force unit known as the “Bloody Hundredth” in which his late father served – the real-life group featured in the acclaimed Apple TV series “Masters of the Air,” produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg (for which Chip also served as a technical and historical contributor).
Chip and Karen, his wife of 35+ years (a retired art educator and former graphic designer), have two grown children: Conley (an active-duty Captain and pilot in the United States Marine Corps), and Anna (a commercial photographer and artist).
