It’s something that Rock Dental Brands knew they needed, as they looked to expand their growing business.

The Challenge

The client came to us and outlined a clear objective – to help create buzz and raise its brand awareness. In our research phase, we outlined a clear path forward for the client, pitching them two distinct opportunities to strategize their marketing strategies around Arkansas’ college football and basketball seasons, all made possible by the limitless potential of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals.

The Strategy

First came the creative side of the campaign. We knew we wanted to forge a partnership with an athlete, but we knew that forging an authentic partnership would greatly amplify the message we wanted to send. So we set to work concepting and scripting a campaign for two NCAA Division I student-athletes. 

Enter Au’Diese Toney, former NCAA Division I Arkansas Razorback basketball player and current guard for the Grand Rapids Gold NBA G League team, a Denver Nuggets affiliate. We partnered with Au’Diese to showcase the client’s Invisalign services, outfitting the athlete with his very own teeth aligners. 

We also worked with KJ Jefferson, former NCAA Division I Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback and current Division I quarterback for the University of Central Florida. His role as quarterback at the University of Arkansas made him a mega-celebrity in the client’s market. He brought an easily recognizable presence to the screen, combining his on field energy with comedic delivery. 

Our agency was one of the first in our market to attempt an NIL deal, and one of the first to actually pull it off, equipping the client with TV commercials, social media content, paid digital, influencer relations and UGC content in their marketing efforts.
